hydra Transcriptomics and genomics of stress on hydra – Two powerful research servers were purchased through a National Institutes of Health grant. The servers were installed in the ITS server center, installed with the Linux operating system, and several software packages were installed. The servers are used to run transcriptomics and genomics analyses on the hydra, which has “eternal life” properties. The servers are also used in a course on transcriptomics and genomics. A Hahn grant was used to create a 268-page textbook “Transcriptomics and Genomics Without Tears.”
